Caring for dogs...
finding new homes
As a small child I rescued a duck which had a broken leg, from a local market when visiting there with my father – never knowing this would be the start of rescuing animals of all sizes, from rabbits to horses.
Dogs are animals I have always lived with for as long as I can remember, starting with Cocker Spaniels (my parents used to breed them) through to a Rough Collie. At present I have three German Shepherds, all of whom are rescue dogs. They live with a cat, rescue rabbits, rescue chickens, 2 ponies (one of which I rescued), 3 budgies and koi carp.
Rescue dogs have played a big part in my life for the last 7 years, working with another rehoming organisation as a voluntary treasurer and "dog's body" for 4 years - a 24/7 job. It's given me a wide experience of all breeds, especially German Shepherds. I decided it was time I started on my own, and this is where Albery Dog Rescue begins...
May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported and helped, and given that little push I needed. Thank you for your faith in me - too many of you to name - but thank you.
